Abstract

|
Objectives: There are a few case reports on the treatment of the Barre´ -Lie´ ou Syndrome by oriental medicine. We got a good effect on one patient with Barre´ -Lie´ ou Syndrome by oriental medicine.
Methods: The patient was hospitalized Dept. of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine, College of Oriental Medicine, Dae-jeon University from 2nd, Feb. 2004 to 2nd, Mar. 2004, diagnosed as Stagnation of qi and stasis of blood(氣滯血瘀), deficiency of qi and blood(氣血虧虛), and treated with Acupuncture therapy, Herbal medication, Chuna therapy, Bee Venom Acupuncture, Oriental physical therapy.
Results & Conclusions: Symptoms of the patient such as neck pain, dizziness, tinnitus, fatigue, etc were improved after above treatments. So, it is suggested that oriental medical treatments are effective in the Barre´ -Lie´ ou Syndrome.
